Ashton “MAGNUM” Stamped Monstrous Apple Shaped Pipe Made by William Taylor in 1986

ITEM DESCRIPTION – The late William “Ashton” Taylor was known for occasionally making spectacular MAGNUM pipes, and this Pebble Grain finished piece is one of them. I am reading the date stamp as 1986, but it is a little unclear and could actually be a 1988 model. The pipe has been professionally cleaned with a solid and cavernous bowl interior. The pipe has a typically well done sandblast that shows off both birdseye and cross grain under the blast. The stem has some minor discoloration and no bite marks. To give you an example of the size of this pipe, I have placed it next to an Ashton XL Pebble Grain pipe from 1985 in one of the photos. Just a wonderful example of a rare William Taylor made Ashton MAGNUM.
