The pipe’s presentation box depicts the painting “The Birth of Venus, dated between 1482 and 1485, and the original remains hung in the Uffizi Gallery in Florence. It is a painting by Alessandro Filipepi. This pipe is supposed to represent the intent of the painting; one of the top creations of Neoplatonic aestheticism – physical beauty allowing the mind to understand spiritual beauty. According to the paperwork that accompanies the pipe, the color of the pipe is supposed to remind you of the blonde and soft hair of Venus. The stem, by the way, has a tenon made to accept 6 mm filters and the pipe does come with a sleeve of Balsa Wood filters and a converter for those who want to smoke it without filters.
