A. Broches & Co. Spinnaker Medium 50g tin- 1960’s era

While the “Spinnaker” name is more widely recognized among modern pipe smoking enthusiasts as an aromatic cherry-and-citrus blend later produced by the Dutch company Theodorus Niemeyer (and subsequently under the Sutliff Tobacco Company Private Stock series), this 1960’s era original version traces back to the historic Dutch tobacco manufacturer A. Broches & Co..Unlike the heavily cased cherry aromatic variants common in later decades, the vintage Broches Spinnaker tin was traditionally classified as a “Medium” cut pipe tobacco, however, the definitive components of the original A. Broches & Co. Spinnaker pipe tobacco are unfortunately lost to history, as no surviving blending records detail its exact recipe. So, although this old and still in great condition tin has value, this one will certainly be a gamble for the buyer.
