Robert McConnell’s Original Red Virginia 50g tins – 1980’s era

What a prize this is; the original  Robert McConnell’s Red Virginia. As many of you know, McConnell’s was historically known to produce some of the world’s finest Virginias and these Red Virgina tins, now no less  than 20-years old (McConnell’s ceased operations in 1989), combined their legendary matured Virginias with a light amount of St. James Parish Perique from back in the day, which should trigger tears of joy for the VaPer happy smokers among us! • The Recipe: It was built around a heavy base of rich chestnut-colored Virginia leaf from Carolina and bright Virginia tobaccos. A touch of Perique is added to introduce a subtle, elegant spice.
