A Nostalgic Look at Holiday Pipe, Cigarette & Cigar Ads

I wanted to have a Christmas season blog this year. So, I thought why not show some great old photos of tobacco ads that were on display during holiday seasons past. You know, back when the tobacco Nazi’s of the world were not around and the advertising was just plain fun. And I mean way back. Some of the ads are from as far back as the 1940’s. Fair warning; there are a few that are certainly sexist and others that we would call politically incorrect these days. But hey, I guess all tobacco ads are considered politically incorrect these days and at least to me, seeing all of the old holiday season advertising from years gone by was just plain fun for me.

I found the artwork in both the ads and on the tins to be exceptional. Some of the ads were also for cigarettes & cigars. They were created back during the time when blenders took special care to make the holiday season tins look enticing, and when the creative artists for the ads took painstaking care to make sure that the ads expressed the holiday season in one way or another. Those good old days are gone, but here are some photos of tobacco and tobacco ads that you may enjoy scrolling through and I hope they are as fun for you to see as they were for me!
