Simply stated, the 2024 Las Vegas International Pipe Show, held the weekend of October 12-13, was sensational! It was once again held at the Palace Station Hotel & Casino just off the strip. The hotel itself was again a wonderful host and showed off amenities that included a very large movie theater, several outstanding restaurants and bars, and the hotel rooms were large, clean and a pleasure to stay in. To say that I was impressed with the hotel and the pipe show itself would be an understatement. Show organizers Brian Levine and Dave Peterson (with tons of help from their wives and other volunteers), made sure that the event ran smoothly from start to finish. They had the venue beautifully arranged, making it easy for the many attendees to move effortlessly around the show room despite the huge crowds, and adjacent to the show room there was an always full bar and large smoking lounge available. And of course, the Las Vegas International Pipe Show’s ability to also allow smoking in the show room itself is another bonus as it is the only pipe show in the country where everyone can smoke their pipes while either selling at their vendor tables or moving around the many tables to see what pipes and tobaccos were available for purchase. And the entire 14th floor of the hotel was the “smoking floor” and yes, it was sold out.
